Valhalla Pines Campground and Guesthouse

This six acre campground is in a quiet forested residential area surrounded by beautiful mountains and rivers. Slocan Lake, Nelson, and Castlegar are all a 35 minute drive away. The shared community building has WIFI, a wood burning stove, sink and basic kitchen amenities, outdoor shower, outdoor flush toilet, fire pits and picnic tables. Valhalla Pines has:
- 5 tent sites
- 3 RV sites with water & power (not the best for trailers longer than 20 feet)
- 1 private hut with bunk beds and bedding
- 3 rooms in a shared A-Frame guesthouse
There may be other campers on the property and sharing the community space. It is beautiful land with nice big trees and very few mosquitoes. Its an off-highway, semi-dead-end, so its usually quiet except for squirrels and other typical rural residential sounds. Wild turkeys and deer wander through the property. There are many guides available for activities in the area including water sports, climbing, skiing, hiking, artist tours, events, geology, mining, mushrooms, cannabis and plant medicines, garden tours, native history and lots more. Features of the area include Valhalla Park, the Slocan River and Valley Rail Trail, waterfalls, hot springs, the Vallican Whole community center and Nelson.
