Margot Baker is a professional Ceramic and Quilting artist living in the heart of New Denver. She has been a Ceramic Artist for 30 years, and has her BFA in Ceramics from AUAD in Calgary. She also has a teaching Degree from U of C, and really enjoys teaching ceramics to students of all ages. Margot is inspired by the playfulness of her students at Lucerne Elementary Secondary School, and the nature surrounding her every day. She focuses on fantasy-like creations, mostly hand built, but with wheel thrown and altered forms complimenting them. She offers classes every Saturday and Wednesday out of her home based studio and is eager to share the wonderful physical, emotional, and sensory benefits of working with clay.
